We are delighted to again be participating in the BigGive Christmas Challenge in 2017 and to be able to offer you the opportunity to double the impact of your donation to African Promise.

From noon on GivingTuesday (28th November), for one week only, every donation made to us via theBigGive website is being matched £-for-£ up to a total of £5,000, which is the total value of the matching funds we have available from generous supporters of AP and the BigGive this year .

Help us raise £10,000 to build and upgrade classrooms

We are aiming to raise a total of £10,000 in the challenge this year and all funds raised will go towards the provision of classrooms across our existing partner schools. Our target of £10,000 could build two entirely new classrooms, helping to ensure that all children across our partner schools are learning in a safe and conducive environment and that schools have enough teaching space to keep class numbers low and manageable.

DONATE HERE FROM 12PM ON 28 NOV

Donations up to £5,000 per donor will be matched. Any donations over this amount will have the first £5,000 doubled (if funds are available) and the surplus will be processed as a normal unmatched donation. Please note that the minimum donation is £5.

We have £5,000 in ring-fenced matching funds available; £2,500 of which has been pledged by our Trustees and major supporters, and £2,500 pledged by our BigGive Charity Champion, the Coles-Medlock Foundation. Donations will first be matched using the pledges from our Trustees and supporters; only when this is exhausted will the Charity Champion funding be used to match donations.

No. Only donations made online via theBigGive website will be matched. No cash or cheque donations, or donations made directly via the CAF donation form on our website or via any other donation platform such as JustGiving or GlobalGiving will be matched.

You are able to donate from abroad as long as you have one of the accepted card types. These are Mastercard / Visa / Maestro / Switch / Solo / Delta / American Express. As the Christmas Challenge is hosted in the UK, all references to time are Greenwich Mean Time, or GMT. If you are donating from abroad, you will need to donate via thebiggive.org.uk from midday GMT on the 28 November – you can check what time that equates to where you are here.

Online donations are processed by Charities Trust (themselves a charity – no. 327489) who deduct a fee of 4% from the online donation and any Gift Aid claimed. Read about more about fees here.
