We have a wonderful opportunity to transform the education and lives of children in the Mkamenyi community, now and for generations to come. But we cannot do this alone and we need your support to make this ambitious project a reality.
Construction work is complete on the first new classrooms as well as staffroom and offices…
New staff toilets – which were urgently needed – are ready for when schools eventually reopen.
A gated entranceway has been built to improve security. We hope to add perimeter fencing at a later date.
A total of 40,000 litres of rainwater harvesting capacity has now been installed and connected. We will add to this throughout the project up to a total of at least 100,000 litres.
Work has started on the construction of a further three classrooms with part of the existing school having been demolished to make way for them.
