What an amazing couple of days we had during the BigGive Christmas Challenge! We absolutely smashed our £3,000 fundraising target with almost a day of the 72 hours fundraising challenge to spare.
The challenge launched at noon on #GivingTuesday (29th November) and by 6pm on the Thursday our £3,000 in matching funds had been exhausted thanks to donations totalling nearly £5,000 from 16 donors, including both existing and new supporters of the charity.
Accounting for the matched funding and Gift Aid on donations takes the total amount raised to approximately £9,000, all of which will go towards the costs of employing extra teachers across our partner schools in 2017.
We are very grateful to all of those that donated and to those who may have tried to donate after we reached our target. We are sorry if you missed out this time around, however we hope to take part again next year so watch this space for news on that later in 2017.
